Venetian Pool. Perhaps the only swimming pool anywhere to be included in the National Register of Historic Places. Certainly it is the only swimming pool of its kind with its vine-covered loggias, shady porticos, spanish fountain, three-story observation towers and cascading waterfalls that spill into a free-form lagoon.

Far away in Spain, a long time ago, stood an Ancient Monastary. It was home to cloistered monks and nuns of the Roman Catholic Church. An American bought the old stones, had it taken apart, with each stone numbered. It eventually ended up on the dock at Port Everglades in Florida. It was rebuilt and now can be visited and enjoyed.

This beach is one of the few nude beaches located near a major metropolitan city. Just north of Miami and Miami Beach and between the cities of Bal Harbour and Sunny Isles Haulover is a county operated park. The nude beach has been a traditional clothing optional location for many years. Get there early on the weekend it's packed.
